The Guide GSC Advisory Board
Help guide a mission‑driven firm to the summit.
We're assembling a small advisory board of experienced leaders to sharpen our strategy, lend credibility, mentor us as we grow, and help capable organizations reach the federal market they've earned a place in.
Why we're building an advisory board
Guide GSC is early, focused, and deliberate. We help mission‑driven organizations enter and win federal work, and we perform contracts ourselves as a small business. We know the difference between climbing fast and climbing well, and great advisors are how young firms do both.
So we're inviting a handful of seasoned leaders to the table: people whose judgment we trust, whose perspectives sharpen ours, and whose presence signals to clients and teammates that this firm is built to last.
What our advisors do
Sharpen strategy. Help us choose the right markets, priorities, and pace.
Lend credibility. Stand with a young firm so clients and partners trust the path.
Mentor and guide. Share hard‑won judgment on the decisions that matter.
Keep us honest. Offer perspective on growth, capital, compliance, and governance.
Who we're seeking
We're looking for a few people, not many — leaders with depth in one or more of these areas:
Federal acquisition & GovCon
Deep knowledge of how federal work is really won and delivered.
Agency & mission‑area leadership
Behavioral health, housing, workforce, defense logistics, and the communities we serve.
Capital & finance
Disciplined growth, working capital, and scaling.
Legal & compliance
FAR/DFARS, DCAA, and sound governance.
Business development
Relationships and market insight across the federal ecosystem.
Nonprofit & impact leadership
Leaders who live the mission at the heart of our work.
The role
Advisory only. The Advisory Board provides counsel. It has no management, fiduciary, or voting authority and does not direct company decisions; advisors guide them — they don't govern.
A light commitment. Roughly four meetings a year (about two to three hours each), plus occasional, optional counsel. Respectful of your time.
A one‑year, renewable term. Easy to start, easy to step back.
Recognition and a stake in what we build. We offer meaningful recognition as a founding advisor and a stake in the firm's success, tailored to each advisor and discussed individually.
Advisors provide guidance within the bounds of applicable ethics and procurement‑integrity rules and disclose and step back from any conflict of interest.
